How I Work

 Where do you start when you're designing a room -- the floor, the furniture, the walls?  I believe the best place to start is a conversation about how you live and what you like, what you already love about a room, and what you'd like to see changed.

I will listen closely to what you tell me about your lifestyle and tastes, help set priorities, and provide guidance based on the best practices of  interior design.  After getting a clear understanding of your wishes and your budget, I'll come back to you with floor plans and preliminary designs that suggest color schemes, fabrics, furnishings and art work.  To fine tune designs and turn sketches into reality, we  can (if you wish)  go on a fabric and/or furniture outing -- so you can experience, explore, and see your options.   Collaboratively, we'll choose fabrics, paint colors and furnishings that you like.  Upon approval of design, orders are placed and custom items are made.   

At the end of a project, I will know I've succeeded if you absolutely love your new rooms, and you absolutely loved working with me.

My clients' design projects can be as small as one room and as large as an entire house, including kitchens and bathrooms.  Accommodating all lifestyles, our work spans the gamut from formal elegance to casual comfort.
